![]() ![]() ![]() Getting bombs dropped on the factory every couple of weeks (something that Savage and Long Branch didn't need to deal with) wasn't any kind of help, either. ![]() The early British-made rifles were 'dodgy' due to the fact that the factory workers (farmers and shopkeepers the week before) making the rifles in brand new factories had to learn how to make them first, and then after they were finally getting them right, production shortcuts started to be employed to get them out the door faster (EP'd markings, uneven serial number stampings, etc.) that makes them a bit less cosmetically desirable today.
